If you have At&t DSL or other isp service that offers decent newsgroups, you may be able to tap into the power downloads you never new existed for free. Newsgroups are great for large files like Xbox 360 games and HD DVDs. Newsgroups will max out your connection. Newsgroups can be a bit complicated to setup so this guide will try and make it as simple and easygoing as possible.
There are two newsreader programs that are most popular and recommended. NewsLeecher(pay) and Grabit(no longer free). I use Newsleecher v3.9(usual places) and it is by far the most excellent of the two. I will use it in the following demonstrations. Grabit gets the job done so try it out if you don’t want to pay.
Next, Binsearch.info or Newzleech.com are a free website for searching files on newsgroups. There are many others so Check Here and find one you like best. Once you find what your looking for you can create a NZB file and open it in your newsreader for downloading. (Note) If you use Newsleecher it has a super search service built in already.
1. Click Add New Server

2. Configure Your Settings
a. Get your News Server Address from your isp’s website. At&t DSL
b. You can put any nick name you want eg. Xbox360
c. If your news server requires user/pass to login (at&t does)

3. Learn More About Newsgroups

Wow, this is way faster than torrents. I got kicked off some sites because I have a slow upload, but with newsgroups its not needed. Thanks for the guide.
